Hands-On Workshops! 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Learn by doing! Attend one of four exciting hands-on workshops - more information to come. Students have pre-selected one of the following workshops:

  • Encryption: Have you ever wanted to solve mysteries, codes, or puzzles? The Encryption workshop will give you an opportunity to practice your sleuth abilities by using encryption/decryption to decipher encoded messages, using math and science forensics.
  • Electronics Build: Building an electronics device may seem like a time-consuming and monumental task, but you'll be able to do it in this workshop. Assembled on a solder less board, this workshop draws on math and science and introduces Electronics Engineering concepts.
  • Ice Cream Factory: Create an ice cream factory that can withstand an earthquake! This workshop combines an understanding of engineering, math, and science along with excitement and fun.
  • Challenger: Do you have the "right stuff" to travel in outer space? Come learn how the Barany Chair tests the impact of microgravity on human body systems. Confront the challenges of human space exploration and the critical role space medicine plays in a decision to go back to the Moon and on to Mars.
